New Job Vacancy: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager

The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) manager conduct thorough inspections and assessments of the work environment, equipment, and operational processes to ensure strict compliance with local legal requirements and international standards pertaining to health, safety, and environmental practices. The primary objective of HSE Manager is to safeguard the well-being of employees, customers, and the environment, prioritizing the prevention of any potential harm or hazards.Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain a dynamic and driven approach to promoting and supporting HS&E across Sibline plants and divisions within own remit. Be an ambassador for HS&E and promote “out of the box” thinking which enables solutions to problems to be identified and implemented effectively within the divisions and projects you supported. 2. Facilitate the implementation of policies and procedures which help reduce risk and support a positive HS&E culture. 3. Support and work closely with the various internal departments, divisions, projects, and supply chain in planning, reviewing, and achieving HS&E objectives and targets as well as promote continuous improvement and development throughout. 4. Where working practices pose a significant risk to health, safety or the environment ensure that the unsafe operation is stopped and inform divisional management immediately. 5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement, to incorporate HSE considerations into project planning, design, and execution phases. 6. Monitor and analyze HSE data, metrics, and reports to identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and track progress towards HSE objectives and targets. 7. maintain accident statistics, analyze trends, and propose and take remedial action where necessary. 8. Promptly investigate all health, safety and environmental incidents as required by company policies, in accordance with company guidance and timescales. Make known to all relevant parties any significant findings/recommendations and ensure lessons learnt/alerts are captured, developed, and communicated effectively throughout the business. 9. Assist divisions in closing out all incident investigations promptly and completely. 10. Provide guidance and support to HSE team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring their adherence to HSE policies and procedures. 11. Collaborate with the Learning and Development (L&D) department to ensure all staff, including office-based personnel, receive appropriate HS&E training and instructions by developing and delivering suitable training courses for Sibline employees and the supply chain to ensure remaining compliant with current legislation and industry best practice. 12. Maintain a working knowledge of all Group HS&E standards, policies, procedures, and guidance to a level which will allow you to guide and support divisions and teams in their effective implementation. 13. Stay up-to-date with advancements in HSE technologies, practices, and regulatory requirements specific to the cement manufacturing industry, and recommend relevant improvements and innovations. 14. Promote and coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, products, services, and operations. 15. Develop and review HS&E policies and procedures in line with best practices and oversee its implementation and application. 16. Devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies. 17. Compiling all reports related to HSE internally and communicating on group level. 18. Managing Sibline HSE application to close all issues reported. 19. Plan, schedule and monitor all housekeeping tasks in the cement & BM plants. 20. Setting, implementing, and monitoring the HSE department KPIs. 21. Compiling the HSE road map and responsible for following-up on implementing it while coordinating with relevant units to achieve planned delivery on time. Education and Experience: · Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health / Bachelor of Industrial Engineering · 10 Years of successful experience in HS&E of which 3 in a supervisory / managerial position. · Good command of Microsoft office. · Good Communication and Reporting Skills. · Languages: Good Command of English and Arabic (Comprehension, written and oral). · Comprehensive knowledge in the ISO standards 45001:2018 and local legal requirements for HS&E.
