Conscious of its corporate social responsibilities, Sibline undertakes efforts to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of its employees and their surroundings. The performance of safety management systems is being monitored continuously and being improved to avoid accidents. Risk identification and mitigation processes, as well as safety audits are carried out periodically. Sibline takes every opportunity to evaluate and improve these processes.
In 2016, Sibline achieved conformity with the BS-OHSAS 18001:2007 standard which was replaced in 2021 by the ISO 45001:2018. This refers to an occupational health and safety management system that helps identify, control, and reduce the risks associated with health and safety within Sibline plants.
The Integrated Management System (IMS), which includes health and safety policies, indicates that Sibline has provided and is maintaining safe and healthy working conditions. The company is noted to have the necessary safety equipment and established working procedures for all employees, visitors, and contractors who may be affected or involved in company activities. In support of this, Sibline has the following commitments:
Compliance with all relevant safety-oriented legislations and standards.
Ensuring that plant equipment and materials are safe and do not pose any risk to health if used in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Provision of appropriate occupational health and safety (OH&S) training to all employees.
Furnishing adequate resources, including funds, to facilitate the fulfillment of the company’s OH&S commitments.
Defining measurable objectives and targets, including an appropriate KPI system, to ensure continued improvements aimed towards eliminating work-related injuries and illnesses.
